MARBLE AND NATURAL STONE

Green Mountain Soapstone
Soft and naturally warm to the hand, soapstone or steatite is remarkable for its unique veining and colour. Once soapstone is cut, it oxidizes and from light gray, it turns into a deep charcoal tone. Moreover, that rich colour will deepen even further if mineral oil based protection is applied on the stone.

Marble

Quite elegant, marble offers an almost infinite array of shades. Being a metamorphic rock, it is porous, however once protected with a proper sealant, it will be extremely long lasting.

Limestone or travertin
Sedimentary rocks are mostly formed in the ocean and made of microfossil, much like sea shells found on beaches. That is why limestone shades tend to be lighter, ranging more in a palette of whites and beiges.

Slate
Slate is formed under extreme pressure and temperature conditions. Rustic, it is characterized by its fine grain and flaky texture, which are the result of clay mud compaction. Its palette is rather wide, ranging from various grays to dark reds, but not forgetting several shades of blacks and greens.
